She married October 24, 2014 with Dayana Jaimes García relationship from which her daughter Pula Elena Díaz was born in May 2015.

Martin Elías grew up in the middle of the fame of his father, one of the greatest exponents of vallenata music. At the age of 6 his father made him sing during his concerts. During his childhood, Martin Elías also aspired to become a professional footballer.

The first accordionist of vallenata music with which formed a group was Fernando Rangel, later recorded with Rolando Ochoa and Juancho de la Espriella
